The theme of the walking tour by TC team was “Ruins in Tachung”. Start from Lu-Chuan, the most bustling area in Central district, the first place we arrived was “The Fourth Credit Cooperative of Taichung”. There is now famous for its ice cream, but our guide focused on its historical buildings and the Chinese traditional pattern of buildings – why buildings should face the southern side?

The next site is Quan-Yao Building. As its golden-edge passed by, it became a ruin now but still have people lived in. It also became an attraction for photographers or film makers. But the bad news was government planned to tear down this building because of safety and social problems it may caused.

The following spot was Dong-Xie Square, the original First Square. Its view of attic was awesomeAs we stepped into the attic, everyone went insaneJust can’t help but snap snap, and snap!

As we got a bird’s-eye view of Central disatrict, the guide was telling a story of “Ghost ship of Central district”. Everyone really fell into the story. However, there were many social problem in this building too, such as a large number of migrante and the hiding dangerous of its facilities.
